500 Mile Cycle over 5 days around the Scottish North Coast – 500 millas en bicicleta durante 5 días alrededor de la costa norte de Escocia

500 Mile Cycle over 5 days around the Scottish North Coast
After the success of raising £ 1,300 last year for Cancer Research, I have decided to take on a new challenge this September. I will be riding the 500 miles around the north of Scotland. This is something I have wanted to do for sometime and with the appropriate training this year I feel it could be within my grasp. With a plan to do it over 5 – 7 days, that’s approximately 100 – 150k (75 – 100 miles) per day, 9800 meters of hills (32,000ft) I have never ridden that far on consecutive days before. On top of that there is the hilly Scottish Coast, weather and having to wild camp on some of the nights. It should be a pretty tough challenge for me.
With the help of Andre (and Norway Dive, Mallorca), we have chosen to support Plastic Free Balearics by Save the Med.
«Save the Med are a local organization within Mallorca that have focus on the aquatic marine environment.
Their campaigns especially help with clean ups, single use plastics and sustainability.
As we visit the Mallorca waters on a daily basis with divers and see the environmental damage first hand, it’s an easy choice to wish for more funding for Save the Med and their campaigns. » – Andre Foleide, Norway Dive, Mallorca.
– Andre Foleide, Norway Dive, Mallorca
